This was a beautiful day in Central Park under Ladies Pavilion. Usually we play at the boathouse, but this was a great secluded (relatively) area. The only unfortunate thing is that they never allow amplification in Central Park, but usually the weddings are on the intimate side so it works out!
Wedding Ceremony Music in Central Park
July 26th, 2011Some new pics of us by wedding photographer JULIAN MACKLER
July 15th, 2011Here are a couple photos of us by photographer Julian Mackler (www.mackme.com) who we met after running into him multiple times at weddings where we were both working. Everyone says he is one of the best wedding photographers in NYC and we agree!
Wedding Music at Wainwright House in Rye, NY
May 14th, 2011This weekend we played at the Wainwright House which is located in the beautiful Rye, NY which seems to have many choices of wedding venues because of many beautiful old houses (or castles might be more accurate). The house is a popular destination for weddings as well as a non-profit, non-sectarian holistic learning center.
The weather was probably as perfect as it can be. You can see that the ceremony overlooked the water….quite nice.
Wedding Music at The Lighthouse At Chelsea Pier
April 11th, 2011]Here are pictures that were forwarded to us from the photographer since of course we forgot our camera again, you don’t quite get a good view of us or the room, but they are cool pictures non-the-less. It gives me a good chance to analyze my right hand technique.
Here we played at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Pier which we have played at quite a few times. I think it is one of the premier wedding venues in New York City…always beautiful, spacious and thing seem to run quite smoothly.
There will be no wedding updates this week as I am off to New Zealand to visit my wife’s family and to take in some nature!
Wedding Music at Montauk Club in Brooklyn
April 6th, 2011This weekend we played 2 great weddings. One was at the Montauk Club which is located not in Montauk, but in Brooklyn near Prospect Park. It has a vintage/classy vibe and the acoustics are good. We arranged two songs for the bride and groom. Montauk Club is a good place to have a wedding when Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is too cold.
Music at Trump Hotel Wedding in NYC
March 15th, 2011We once again have not posted in a while but this year we promise to post more when we have the time. 2011 looks like it will be another year full of beautiful weddings. This weekend we played at the Trump Hotel in Manhattan. It reminded me much of my own wedding in 2008 (wow time flies!) because of the dimensions of the room and layout. We got to play some Beatles as well as some Bach for the ceremony portion as well as a rocking cocktail hour in the adjacent room. There was a great dance band playing the dinner portion called Faze 4, I believe and 2 different teams of photographers that looked like they were intent on getting great shots. You can email me if you are interested in their contact.
