Today Penguin Music had the pleasure of playing right on the water at a beautiful venue, Liberty Warehouse, in Red Hook. (right next to Fairway!)
Unfortunately, somebody forgot to tell the weather to behave itself! We got pretty drenched just getting from the car to the venue, and that is even with the valet service! Haha! By the time we left, the puddles were starting to turn into small oceans (we understand that this is no joke, we sincerely hope that everyone was safe getting home that evening and hope for the best with the rest of Red Hook, knowing that they had just started to recover from another terrible storm in Hurricane Sandy)
Regardless of the incessant rain, there were nothing but rays of light at the now indoor wedding ceremony. After some heartfelt vows (and in between little barks from their canine pal), Penguin did a custom arrangement of “Rhythm of Love” by the Plain White Tees, and then went straight into a vibrant cocktail hour. Everyone seemed to have a great time while we played some Bossa jazz, some pop/rock classics, and ended with “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. I was only able to grab a few pics, check them out below!
